Back 4 Blood, now there’s a game I really should have spent more time playing. More that is than the current five minutes I’ve managed due to being easily distracted by other shinier stuff. However, if there’s one thing guaranteed to get me interested, it’s a glittery new Christmas update baby!
That’s right, zombie-slaying, gore-fest, Black 4 Blood has a free December update, and that thing is soaked in blood and baubles.
Not only are Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios dropping holiday-tastic in-game content such as new cards and card types, they are also popping a bow around a solo offline campaign mode complete with progression! Merry Christmas ya filthy zombie-hunting animals.
The solo campaign offers achievements, unlockables and a chance to earn supply points. All this can be carried over into the online campaign mode and vice-versa.
The update also introduces ‘Roving Merchants’ which act as rotating, time-limited, supply lines providing players with additional rewards. The ‘34th Street’ Roving Merchant offers seasonal skins, festive weapons and other holiday goodies.
Below is a full rundown of features available as a FREE update for all Back 4 Blood owners:
- New solo offline campaign mode with progression
- New Roving Merchants supply lines
- New seasonal character skins, weapon skins, emblems, and sprays*
- New cards and brand-new card type, Burn Cards
- New zombie practice area
- Fort Hope holiday themed decorations**
- Jukebox music tracks now adjustable via music slider
- Randomized character bots for solo mode
- Balancing adjustments to Recruit, Veteran and Nightmare difficulty levels
Not bad at all as free updates go! Might just be the perfect time for me to get my own seasonal slaying into 2nd gear.
